Description of the house
The house is
built directly to the suburban railway station Osdorferstraße, where the train S
25 brings you right into the center of Berlin. Within 15 – 20 minutes you can
reach Friedrichstraße, Potsdamer Platz and the entire Whitehall. The bus 186
also transfers you to the Metro station Rathaus Steglitz. There you can find a
big Shopping Mall or you can use the Metro U9 to get to the Kurfürsten Damm and
Zoologischer Garten.
In your
immediate vicinity you will find:
a small Shopping Mall with Drugstores, Supermarkets,
Bakeries
as well as two famous Fastfood Restaurants and also some smaller gastronomies,
which are recommendable.
Our house
disposes on two floors
95 beds
in total, which are split up in
31 rooms.
The
reception, which is located on the ground floor, is the place, where you can
inform and ask us whatever you feel like. Here we will kindly answer your
questions and help you out, no matter if you need some information about Berlin
or some help to get to a certain place etc. You can also get the
CityTourCard
and the
WelcomeCard
here.
You find the breakfastroom on the first floor, where you can eat breakfast, lunch and/or dinner.
Our
delicious buffet is open from
8.00 o`clock
until 9.30 o´clock
and provides strength for the whole day. If you like, we also offer food for
groups in form of demi-board or full-board. And please do not hesitate to ask us
for any food requests (vegetarian, muslim food etc ).
We also have
a lounge, that provides you with a TV and many games. This is also suppose to be
our international meeting point for all our guests.
Our house is
an approved charitable accommodation of Arbeiterwohlfahrt Kreisverband Südwest
e.V and of the BSD gGmbH – Consultancy Social Service. Our guests are exempt
from the purchase tax according to the Value Added Tax Act §4 paragraph 18.
Individuals, that have achieved the age of 27 and do not travel to supervise
minors (key 1:9) have to pay the purchase tax of
7
percent.
